Aletheia Lab Inc. (the “Company”) operates WorshipBridge AI (the “Service”) in compliance with the Korean Personal Information Protection Act and related laws, and handles personal data as follows.
1. What we process and why
- Free-trial applications — church name, applicant's name and role, phone, email, country and city, service times, sermon language, languages needed, audio equipment, and your message. Purpose: consultation and preparing the trial.
- Subscriptions and payments — church name, applicant's name, email, mobile number (optional), and payment records (plan, amount, currency, PayPal subscription ID, billing dates). Purpose: opening the Church, billing, receipts and refunds. Card details are handled by PayPal; we never receive them.
- Church account — the email above (the address given at sign-up and the PayPal payment email) becomes the account for the church account page. We do not collect passwords. Sign-in links and sign-in sessions are stored only as hashed values; a link expires after 15 minutes and a session after 14 days. Purpose: managing the Church (getting the service addresses again, changing the broadcast key, viewing hours, viewing and cancelling the subscription).
- Usage records — for each service, the time interpreted, the number of languages on, and the data transferred. Purpose: billing and plan limits.
- Mistranslation reports — when the sound booth reports a mistranslation, we keep that caption line, the suggested correction and the sermon source at that moment (up to 300 characters). Purpose: improving the Church's glossary.
- Listeners — we do not collect names or contact details. The screen language a listener chooses stays only on their device (browser storage and a cookie). Connection addresses (IP) may appear briefly in server and network security logs.
2. Sermon audio
For interpretation, the sermon audio is sent live to an external interpretation engine (Google). We use a paid account so that the audio is not used to train AI. Our servers store neither the sermon audio nor the captions — the only exception is the sentences kept through mistranslation reports described above.
3. How long we keep it
- Trial applications: deleted within 1 year after the consultation ends (immediately on request).
- Church contact details and usage records: kept while the Church uses the Service, and deleted after cancellation once billing is settled — except where a legal retention period applies.
- Contract, withdrawal and payment records: 5 years · consumer complaint and dispute records: 3 years (Korean Electronic Commerce Act).
- Reported sentences: deleted once reflected in or rejected for the glossary, and immediately on the Church's request.
4. Processors and transfers abroad
The Service relies on the following providers; some processing happens outside the Republic of Korea.
- Google LLC (USA) — live interpretation of sermon audio (Gemini API) and server hosting (Google Cloud, USA). Data: sermon audio and the records in section 1. Method: encrypted network transfer while the Service is used.
- PayPal — payment processing. Data: the name, email and payment details needed for payment.
- Cloudflare, Inc. (USA) — delivery and security of web traffic.
- Resend (USA) — sending the emails we send to churches (setup notice, sign-in links, broadcast-key change notices). Data: the recipient's email address and the message (church name, service addresses).
If you do not want your data transferred abroad, you can stop using the Service; in that case we cannot provide interpretation.
5. Your rights
You may ask at any time to access, correct, delete or stop the processing of your personal data. Email [email protected] and we will act without delay. A church's owner can also delete the church on the church account page — its contact details, settings, church glossary and mistranslation reports are removed, and only the billing and payment records we must legally keep remain.
6. Security measures
- All transfers are encrypted (HTTPS and WSS).
- Each Church gets its own broadcast key, and management screens open only with the owner key.
- We do not store sermon audio or captions, so there is no original to leak in the first place.
